Student Announcements

In this second week of Advent, we turn our focus to PEACE; turning away from any worries that may be occupying our minds. Often our schedules can be filled with so much hustle that we tend to forget to take time to prioritize the peace in our lives. Remember to sit. Linger. Breathe. Wait. Behold. Wonder. Tomorrow we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe and we will hear the story of Mary appearing to an Aztec man, Juan Diego. May these celebrations remind us to hold peace in our hearts and look for the light in our lives.

Let us pray. God of Peace, guide us in our journey of finding peace in our daily lives this Advent season and in our times of trouble. Help us to remember the importance of peace for ourselves and those around us. Let us pray for peace in the current conflicts happening in the world, and we ask you to protect those who are suffering and guide us in being peacemakers, as we also celebrate the religious diversity in our Notre Dame community. We pray this in the name of all that is good and holy, Amen

(excerpts from refelction from Jan Richardson)
