St. Francis of Assisi Day

Notre Dame celebrated the Feast of St. Francis on Friday, Oct. 4. St. Francis of Assisi is best known for his deep faith, his commitment to serving those experiencing poverty and a spirituality of care for all of creation. In honor of St. Francis’ legacy, Deacon Steve Herrera gave a blessing, the Clean & Green student club coordinated rock painting and seedling planting, and ND partnered with Animal Assisted Happiness (AAH) and youth ambassador, Bailey ‘25, to bring animals to 3rd Street Cafe. Students squealed in delight as they held, petted and talked to therapy animals.
