This past Saturday, Notre Dame hosted Freshman Family Welcome Day. This is a cherished tradition which greets our new freshman families into the Notre Dame community with open arms, and the first time they come together as one to start their high school journey.
When students arrived, they were gifted an “I heart ND” T-shirt to wear, and then families enjoyed a welcome program in JB hall. Students and families then filled classrooms to learn about what they need to know about life at Notre Dame. Faculty and staff not only shared the practical information needed, but also the amazing opportunities available, like co-curricular offerings, Notre Dame Parent Association and more. To conclude the morning, guests returned to JB Hall for the emotional freshman family blessing. It was poignant to watch students line the stage to receive a white lily and a personal greeting from school administrators, inducting them into the Notre Dame Class of 2027.
May at Notre Dame is a season of change. We watch with bittersweet feelings as seniors prepare to graduate. We have seen them grow from young, impressionable freshmen to confident, strong-minded women of impact. While we will miss our seniors so much, we look forward to the freshmen coming and starting a new cycle of growth and transformation. Welcome, Class of 2027!
