At Notre Dame, what many consider integral life skills have been woven throughout the curriculum, ensuring that students graduate with critical thinking, teamwork and self-awareness skills, among others. This year we've taken our commitment to teaching young women 'what they need to know for life' and innovative learning one step further with #LifeSkills workshops that help prepare students with additional skills that ensure life success.
The #LifeSkills workshops for the fall of 2017 are well underway and cover a host of topics including budgeting and personal finance, cooking, sewing, creativity and mindfulness among many others. More than 180 students are learning important skills that include changing a tire, balancing a checkbook, filling out tax forms and making basic meals.
